WOYWW and beer!

Hi fellow world travellers, hope you're enjoying your hop around the world. If you're not sure what's going on pop over to Julia's, where she hosts a weekly snoop into the crafty desks across the planet :-)

This was my desk yesterday afternoon, and nothing has changed since then. The beer in my post title refers to the Guinness cans you can see centre stage! I cut them up and die cut or emboss - great source of thin metal sheets, and Hubby is happy to help me build up my stash lol!! Have used them and loo roll inners on a magazine DT project with cogs and clocks - sorry, had to move that out of shot as not published yet!

Other things you can see are my trusty heat tool -heat embossed some of those cogs to look like rusty aged metal! Also a wedding card using the kanban Jasper Set, a spring card  for a blog challenge (see previous post) my fave fiskars scissors lower right of pic, and my Scotch photo glue (anyone know where I can buy more?? It's fab glue and I have a small stash but can;t find anywhere that sells it any more)

Ok, I'm off to blog hop and check put other creative desks

Happy woyww

  4. I love that you recycle beer cans - ha! The fashion dolls (is that the right word? or is it 'models'?) anyway, those 'shapes' on your card are fantastic! Thanks for visiting my blog and sharing smiles. Happy woyww, Marit #101

  6. the card on your desk is really pretty being made with the lovely steampunk stamps from kanban. I like your idea with the beer cans sadly the beer in our house is drunk from bottles so I can't really do that. However I did get a large stock of bottle tops to use somewhere.
Wishing you a very Happy WOYWW

  7. We once collected a veritable stash of loo roll inners to make a mini book, we never made it but we could have easily won a spot on a hoarders programme, maybe we shouldn't attempt to save beer cans, we might get a spot at an AA meeting instead! Happy WOYWW from the bears.

  8. Hi Debs,
Repurposing is wonderful, isn't it. I'm sure your honey will be happy to supply how ever many cans that you require! I have a friend saving her bottle caps for me.

In your comment you asked about a tutorial on the book that I made during the class. Luckily, I took some photos in various stages so I would be happy to write up a post about it. If I get my act together maybe I'll have it by next weekend. It was fun, to be sure. I thought I'd try making a book using my 6 x 6 papers (since I cut down all my 12 x 12)!!

    Happy WOYWW
    Peace,

  15. You could drink diet coke for the tins!! Tee Hee! I am looking forward to Lent finishing so I can have a drink! Hic!
Not sure about the photo glue, but maybe try 3mdirect.co.uk. I know they do a quick dry glue (same make as yours) which I use all the time now as it is fantastic. They do the ATG gun tape as well if you have one of those.
    Thanks for your visit.
