WOYWW and the kindness of crafty folk!

Hi everyone, I can't believe that it's Wednesday again (where on earth did that week go?!) and time for another whizz around the globe at Julia's Stamping Ground, to see what other crafters have on their desks.

You probably already know that I don't tidy my desk for your visits, but today is pretty dire! Dies that need the leftovers 'poking out', a part complete project on the left, planned for a future class, and my 'overflow' box on the far left - same place as last week, with much the same stuff in, and an experimental card fold on top!!

And this is what I've been working on with my Inkylicious dusters - the sand dunes image was inspired by one I saw at Farnborough, that was made using Adirondack inks, and I wanted to see if I could make something similar using my Distress Inks. Don't know about you, but I have a lot of Distress Inks, and I love them, (Julia asked about my colour chart on my desk last week - it was for my DI's!) and I can't really justify buying another set of inks (Adirondacks) if the DI's will do the same job - I was quite pleased with the results, and they will be the basis of a future class:-

My class yesterday was such fun, and one of my lovely ladies brought along a gift for me - a fab tartan scrapbooking bag! A friend of hers was throwing it out (!) and as she doesn't scrapbook, and already has a travelling craft bag, she decided to give it to me. Aren't crafters lovely people?

Anyway, Julia asks us to keep these posts relatively short (sorry Julia!) so I'd better stop waffling and start blog-hopping!

Happy WOYWW

  5. Love the new bag, it's amazing what some people will throw out isn't it? The scenes have turned out beautifully, the DI inks work really well, I also like it when you don't have to buy something for a specific purpose. -3C and snow showers here again today, that 16C day was obviously just a tease!

  9. awesome cards! I love the distress inks but try to use them on things that don't get touched much because of their "activation" issues. I love the effects you got with the cards! Crafters are the most awesome people thinking about others all the time! Thanks for sharing. Have a great week. Vickie #1

    1. Thanks Janene - tried to visit your blog, but nothing visible??

I got my Cuttlebug on E-bay, and it came with a bunch of embossing folders and a couple of dies as someone had traded up to a Grand Calibur - very happy with mine!

  17. Hullo there Debs,
Well, lovely work going on here, and really love the work with your ink dusters and the DI, clever girl..

Am bit like you in a way except have about the same number of Adirondack an DI, not a lot, about 6 or 8 of each but cos colours dont over lap I use both on some projects - with Di just have to with a bit longer otherwise all good! (here our weather is humid and thigns take longer to dry!)!
Thanks so much for popping over and for sharing ~ happy WOYWW! Shaz in Oz. x #15

  19. Your sand dunnes are fab. Must admit I did buy a couple of Adirondack dies to try out. Mainly becuase I don't have many (well as many as other people do, my story and sticking to it) Distress inks. Still plucking up the courage to unveil my brayer.!!! Hugs Mrs A.
