Reindeer and woyww

My desk is completely empty today, so thought I'd show you what I've been working on

Some of you may remember the broken reindeer cookies debacle last year, when I tried out my brand spanking new cookie cutters and ended up with road kill like this....

Well this year I decided my reindeer would be more elegant (and in one piece lol!!) So I bought an MDF decoration from Inky Doodles - which starts life like this....

And this is the finished version....

Tried taking photos in different light to show the twinkly embossing in silver and blue

Twinkles do not play well with cameras! Trust me, the embossing is super twinkly and festive!

My masterpiece is currently feeling very lonely, as the rest of the decorations are still in hibernation. Will probably be a couple of weeks before they see the light. In the meantime, my reindeer make me smile :-)

Linking this to Woyww where you can travel the world one desk at a time. Apologies to anyone who visited me last woyww as I did not make it round everyone - will do better this week, but it will be a few days!

Thanks for stopping by

Debs

  6. I had a laugh out loud moment when I read about you "roadkill" - so funny! You're right, your reindeer look much more elegant, though I'm quite sure your roadkill tasted better! Inky Doodle, seriously? They stole my name! Although I'm pretty sure they existed before I came along. Darn! It's so difficult to come up with a unique name. Oh well, I can't change it now! zsuzsa @ InkyDinkyDoodle #41

  14. Oh well done Deb, it's lovely and I can tell how twinkly it is..there's no good light for photos at the moment is there! I think you should have another crack at the cookies though...try a different recipe, they can't all be so brittle as to cause road kill!!

  16. Hi Debs,

Very cool Christmas decoration. The road kill cookies made me laugh, as sad as they looked. I try to avoid cookie cutters at all cost!

I've had my Thanksgiving meal so it was a perfect time to visit desks - either that or take a nap!!

    Happy belated WOYWW

  18. Gorgeous! I think you have done an exceptionbal job creating this Fsestive Reindeer masterpiece.

I am expecially enjoying it as for the first time ever...we are not Xmas decorating! Usually we do the front garden, the porch, the back door, the tree and much ,much more...

With the move pending in Jan, Al does not want me to do the extra work of decorating. We go to my daughters this year for supper and will attend friends parties. No parties or pretty baubles here this year!

I will live vicariously through all my friends posts about their lovely houses...so i am counting on you for even more Xmas finery posts...Promise?
