Made this a while ago for a friends birthday. The card base is stamped with the same butterfly & flowers used in the main pic.
The stamps are a combo of diddy ones from different sets, and the sentiment is LOTV.
The stamped panel was mounted on a piece of mirri left over after gutting a piece of A4 for another project. When I trimmed it to size I was left with some skinny straight slivers, so I used one across the middle of the card & really liked the effect.
Final snippet of black card punched out a butterfly to sit over sentiment - was very fiddly as snippet was small. Sure I've seen advice somewhere about how to use small snippets in punches but can't remember where.
Anyway, linking this to the Snippets playground, and will visit some playmates over the next few days. Click on the link in the sidebar to see what everyone is up to.

Absolutely lovely card Debs! Such a beautiful scene too!
ReplyDeleteAnd I can enlighten you as to where you most likely saw how to use teeny snippets with punches. It was our Sarn! I can't find her actual blog post but basically you use a Post It note as an extension of your snippet so you can hold it by the Post It and guide it into place to punch out. hope that makes sense - Sarn explained it much better (with a photo I think) - the woman's a flippin' genius!
