WOYWW & can anything be a desk?

So this week it's been pretty cold in my craft room, and to be sociable (stay warm :-)) I've reverted to crafting on my lap in front of the telly!

Now this creates it's own problems, but has definite advantages.......
On the plus side, warm, cosy in front of tv, on the downside....
My craft room is upstairs, and I'm up & down like the proverbial yoyo cos I always need just one more thing from my stash. And working on 12x12 is a challenge on a tea tray lol :-) plus the ginger furball keeps trying to sit on my lap - any time I'm in the armchair I'm fair game!

So, this is my 'desk' and the floor area around the footstool, you can see a bit of xmas paper peeking out & snowflake peel off's - I was having fun making Christmas cards lol!!- time to check out other desks over at Julia's - why not join in the blog-hop?

Happy crafting!

  1. Lovely to keep warm and snuggly while crafting, you must have good balance :) If it were me I would end up with it all flying off x

  2. Think of how many calories you'll have used running up and down stairs!! I find it hard crafting on my knees so well done you! And I used to love Mallory Towers...I used to pretend I was Darrell, the heroine, lol!

  3. I cannot craft on my knees, nothing feels right. I have tried it with no success. I am lucky in that my room is reasonably warm so I can just work in my usual place. Thank you for your visit and enjoy the rest of the week. I am off to finish my cataloguing. then I might have some idea of what I possess and where it is. xx Maggie #20

  4. I totally get it. I've started bringing my pencils and markers along with some stamped images (both stamp and digital) to color while I am sitting in my BIG chair in front of the TV. So it's a win win. However, I, like you, end up going up and down the stairs to the basement to get what I've forgotten. April #133

  5. Thanks for popping by my desk in Sunny Cape Town. Kitting is so time consuming, I have to start early in the week as I seem to run out of usable hours before class otherwise and then class becomes a bit of a skid!

  7. I often end up crafting downstairs when it's really cold too, so yeah, I understand the running up and down stairs constantly! Yeah, I liked the stickles along the shelf too but they were making the rest of the shelf behind them unusable, they're now in the tin in the cubby on the right. The rose box is in a cubby just under the desk, so it's still there!
