I've had a problem with my neck & shoulder for about 18 months now, causing a lot of pain & limiting my activities - including crafting!
Anyway, long story short, I had surgery just over 3 weeks ago to remove a section of my collarbone & some additional bony growths. I am well on the road to recovery, physio is quite tough & I can't drive yet, or wear anything that needs to go over my head, but that will come.
Still not crafting, able to do some colouring tho, so thought I'd share a card I made a while ago but didn't blog. This is using leftover snippets from First Edition 'Isabella' 12x12 pad and a set of Little Claire stamps. Clean and simple, with a few snippets of backing card, some ribbon from the bit box & some card candi.
Hope everyone is looking forward to the Bank Hol weekend. I'm looking forward to being able to hold a craft knife and ruler sometime soon!

I was going to email to ask how it's going Debs! Good to know you're making progress and this is such a great card for a chap! Or just for 'simple men' - that would be a few then? :)

ReplyDeleteGlad you're on the road to recovery! What a perfectly designed card!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you've had your surgery, Debs, and I hope you make a speedy recovery - but rest as much as you can! If you overdo things too soon you can set yourself back. I am now 8 weeks on from my surgery and doing well, and started my chemo yesterday - a lot to deal with, and plenty more hospital appointments to come. I love your masculine card - great stuff! You will soon be back up to full crafting strength again!!
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Shoshi

Hi Debbie, saw your comments on my page, and was going to email you, but don't have an email addy for you! Nice to see you get back to some sort of crafting, I remember when I had my shoulder in a splint how awkward everything was, so really feel for you. Love the card you've put together, gorgeous. Huge Hugs, Shaz xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit and your lovely comment, Debs. Sorry to hear you are struggling with your shoulder but these things do take time to heal and the shoulder in particular is a very complicated joint! Try to rest it as much as possible - I know how tempting it is to get back to crafting but you don't want to make yourself suffer however good a cause lol! I am also very sorry to hear about your sister and I wish her well for her chemo. Having the port is a lot better and you can forget it between treatments. I am feeling slightly better today but the last treatment completely flattened me... Hoping for better things a week on Friday! Thanks for your kind thoughts, and I'm glad you liked my lavender bags. I'm about to launch into chemo angels but it's going to take ages if it takes me this long to recover from each treatment!
