This is the card I made using the lovely Stamposaurus car that I think looks a bit like Chitty Chitty bang bang!
I had some snippets from the First Edition 'New Leaf' pad which I thought would work well, and a leftover half page from some ancient magazine papers! The cogs were die cut from the same papers, and the image coloured with Pro Markers to match the papers
Then I nearly ruined the whole thing by stamping the greeting a bit wonky!! Had Miss Di of the Playground whispering in my head "you should never stamp that last , you might ruin the while thing". Well, I decided it was good 'nuff!!
I happened to see this pic on Facebook last week and it really made me smile :-)
These 2 happy chappies are made of rice, and sitting in a 'bath' of beef stew! I don't think I'd want to eat it cos they look so happy wallowing in stew :-)
Anyway, off to make a moonlit visit to the playground, see if any other playmates are up past their bedtime!
Thanks for stopping by
Debs x
Well butter my butt and call me a biscuit!!!! I was only looking at photos of the REAL Chitty Chitty Bang Bang earlier today thinking about scrapbooking them and here you are sharing a card!!! Yeay!!
ReplyDeleteThis card is fabby. I don't think it is wonky at all!
You could always do what I do and stamp it again on a piece of card, mount it on another colour then carefully place it over the bodge! Oops I have given my secret away now. Shhhh! You won't tell anyone will you?
I am still up but about to go up to beddie bies. Had to order a sympathy die as I don't like my stamps as they are a bit squidgy!
Nos da!

Bwahahaha - I'm having a last peek for the day at my dashboard. LOVE your car card and bravery Debs - such a fun card. Stamped without the aid of a safety net as well - am impressed!!
ReplyDeleteThen I almost wet meself at those chappies/folk in their baths - would that I could do that for Len next time we have rice! :)
Off to bed here - still sniggering though, you little wag :)
Hugs, Di xxx
PS I wonder what the black stuff is on those little folk - seaweed wrap? Not seen it in Sainsbury's here but dearly, and desperately, want to replicate this just for the sheer fun (hell) of it!! Got the dishes (check), it would be curry (check), can make the shapes(check) but it's the features - snigger .... unless I use black card clippings :)
ReplyDeleteHugs again, me ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Di xx
Di, if you enlarge the photo the features look dark green & knobbly so pretty sure it's seaweed wrap - try waitrose?
